The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

by Rene A. Moncivais 10/26/03

Where to begin with this movie. Well, I wasn't really expecting much out of it and I got a lot less than that. This is one of the worst movies I have seen thus far. I mean even Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation was better than this. At least it didn't take itself seriously. This is just pure unadulterated crap. I did not enjoy this film at all. I guess since Michael Bay had something to do with it the audience is subject to a poor retelling of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which to me should never be touched again, with pretty people in it. The filmmakers actually try to put drama in this thing and give the audience a reason why 'Leatherface' wears other people's skin. This film is just complete stupidity put to film. I just wanted to leave the theatre after the director, Marcus Nispel=Michael Bay?, tried to do what he assumed was cool camera work. Jessica Biel again acts with her body by wearing tight jeans and a tight white tank top, and what a suprise she falls in some water. The one redeeming quality of this film is that we get see R. Lee Ermey act like a crazy lunatic. I wanted my money back after I saw this movie I was so pissed off at it. I am getting sick of remakes, although I am hearing good things about the Dawn of the Dead remake which I will probably see, filmmakers need to leave classics alone. I will let you know that for some reason the filmmakers decided to make 'Leatherface' buff as well. I guess he gets a good workout when he cuts people up with his chainsaw. Do not go see this movie and let the filmmakers make money off of this piece of total crap.
