Dead Man’s Farm has returned in 2011, hitting its stride in year three. They’ve made some changes, mostly to the outdoor areas. Primarily you will notice the gypsies, which roamed around alone last year, have set up a full camp. Multiple fire twirling and breathing gypsies are now doing their thing throughout the evening. This plays into the new theme where the gypsies arrived on the farm and started placing curses on residents causing a werewolf outbreak on the premises.

The interior is still heavily Bludgeon family, so if you are a fan of that gang of inbred homicidal freaks you will still have them to contend with but there are a couple of new scenes and some re-arranging has occurred to keep you on your toes.

The actors, as always, were full speed ahead and full of in your face enthusiasm. Favorite characters on the night we visited (Saturday October 22nd) were the “all messed up” hillbilly greeting us at the front door, Granny (and her lil’ helper) and the crazy Bludgeon lady that chased you out at the end. These three were quick on the draw with the madcap dialog and had very well realized personas.

Another new piece that’s been a big hit this year is the “Apple Smash”, so look for that, but get there early because with all that smashing going on you don’t want to miss it.
