Transformed into Chaos
GOBLINHAUS visits the newly christened haunt in Arlington (9/25/06)
Back to Halloween 2006 Main Page
On Wednesday September 20th, we made a trip out to Chaos Haunted House in Arlington to chat with the people there and check out what they have in store for their visitors this year. Located at Pioneer parkway and 360 in the old Forum 303 / Festival Marketplace mall, Chaos is the new name for the haunt which you may have previously known as The Boneyard (a version of which has also opened at a new location in Arlington).

Our quick tour of the place, led by some enthusiastic volunteers, reveals that this is not an entirely new haunt, this is the same attraction that has been in this location for a couple of years now. That being said, there were new rooms to see and our hosts told us that they are adding another three to four thousand square feet to this already huge haunted house. Chaos is advertised to be “over 2 acres of haunt & festival under one roof” with “50 plus scenes of bone chilling terror.” So it seems that if you liked the Boneyard the past few years, you should love the updated and larger Chaos.

Some of the new things for this year that we can mention include a new Halloween shop, which will sell merchandise such as high-end masks, props and clothes that you won’t find at your local Wal-Mart. Also the festival portion will include a variety of things to see and do such as a fortune teller, face painting, temporary tattoos, and entertainment including live bands, DJs, karaoke, and even video games set to unlimited play, making it a place to kill time while waiting for your turn to tour the main attraction or even just hang out for the evening.

An all-volunteer operation, Chaos’ net proceeds benefit the Advocates for Special People of Texas. They open for business on Friday September 29, 2006. For more information, visit their website.
