Amongst the nature of a sparsely inhabited
area of southeast Oklahoma, and without all of the modern conveniences, Carol
Lawrence is creating her own world of art. Carol takes everday items including
brown grocery bags for paper mache and transforms them into unquestionably
unique and moving works. She can be found selling her art in Canton, Texas
during the First Monday trade days. This is where we were lucky enough to
get to know her and aquire a few items. She exudes positivity and a love for
life and doesn't consider her work to be spooky or creepy at all, but it is
certainly intense. You be the judge.
